Why left-liberalism does not exist; every right-wing is authoritarian, and what the left is against is the police state.

There is no left-wing at all worthy of the name that is not anti-authoritarian. This is because societies are structures of authority that principally benefit privileged classes, and the left is that set of forces within a society that desires and works for its transformation in a way that negates some of its essential characteristics.The touchstone of the divide between left-wing and conservative forces (which may be liberal as well as right-wing) is not race or gender or any other social group identity marking, but the affirmation or refusal of the functions of the police and policing, in the broad sense of social control.

This is why there is no such thing as left-liberalism. Liberals believe in liberty, and those who are better called progressives believe in the liberty of those with institutionally based power of some kind, not only but especially if as individuals they are or were part of socially oppressed or marginalized groups, to exercise power as they see fit and in accordance with the laws and rules.

Liberals, who are better called progressives, essentially want to use existing state authority and any other available institutional or social power to further their agenda, which will not change the society structurally but is designed to win benefits and points for their pet causes, which typically amount to a rather anodyne but moralistic program of making the world a better place in terms of heir ideas of God or justice and happiness. Liberals don't usually even understand why anyone would not want to use official state power in accordance with the presumptive monopoly on the use of force that defines the authority of states and is used to limit legitimate politics to affairs of government.

Further, while most crime is not very political and certainly not politically effective in achieving anything worthwhile, discourse about crime is generally political, and in fact it is through criminalization and the use therefore of police and military forces that oppositional political tendencies are generally fought. This is done largely as preemptive strike. Why arrest someone as a political dissident when you accuse them of a petty crime? The right-wing military/police state is obsessed with crime, to which, along with “mental illness,” all social problems are reduced, as deviances from order to be comfortably restored by the forces of law and order. So don’t dream of making the world a better place; cover your own ass and worry about what someone will try to pin on you, or whether you are guilty and must pay some debt to the infinitely demanding God.

That is why the capitalist state is at war against black and other poor people. This same class war is conducted internationally, especially, and since 1945, by the United States. The similarities are striking. If you are unlucky enough to be treated by police as if you are suspected of any crime, and especially if you are black or poor, the way they treat you is not so different from the way they treat presumed enemy combaYtants, consisting of lots of helpless and frightened children, women, and old people like everywhere else. Simply put, they consider you the enemy, whether you mean to be or not, and they are there to kill you if they must, and extremely trigger-happy to decide that they must, since they are told to fear you and principally worry only about their own safety, underneath their massive high-tech armor, and that is much of their principle reason for being and for being there facing you. Remember always to be careful not to sneeze. Even breathing can be considered an act of resisting. Maybe it is.

This is not easily said but must be contemplated and understood, as there are things that are not as they are supposed to seem: Sometimes the thugs turn out to be members of minority groups. Surprise, surprise. If they do something nasty and you react to or complain about it, you can be called a racist, sexist, or something; Americans all know about this and liberals eat it up, so it works. Admit it, you wanted me to react angrily so that you could call that “violence,” and so that you could then do your job of using violence. Why can’t you admit is that it’s really the bosses and you are just working for the man, an unwitting yet mercenary traitor to your people, which is all of us.. What, I am a minority but don't have total liberty and impunity, and liberty to express my freedom and autonomy by suppressing you, just as the company union says I can, since that is how I can express my rights, which are only authorizations to “do my job”? And isn't every rebellious white person a Confederate pseudo-”rebel”? If I seem to you like a vicious attack dog, isn't that just prejudice? One way might be to offer you on a platter a ready to hand definition of your enemies. You have some problem with us minorities exercising domination over you, my slave (for I’ve got you now, you bastard!)? "Resistance is futile," and now you are resisting not America and its mercenary forces of sadistic domination in the name of an ideological peace and democracy, but “Black” and similar injustices as among the persons in these mercenary forces. Or women, for don’t you like my pussy-designed jackboot on your face? Women can do anything men can do, including torture. Don’t you know we will just say you are a macho oppressor if you don’t like it? The victim is always to blame, so when we step on your face with our jackboot, we will say you oppress us and offend our liberty, and that’s why we must. Just as people facing a de facto firing squad are always imagined as mortal threats to its persons.

Let’s get personal enough to not be. Have the courage to say no to who you are, refusing your identity. We must all do this. It is only your job function that makes you my enemy. You could refuse this, too. Refuse who you are when it's a violent lie that you've been sold. Being given the job of master-enforcer does not make you less of a slave but if anything mouch more of one, because you believe it. A master is a slave who thinks he is a master.

It may be possible to fool most of the people most of the time. It probably is also possible to destroy the souls of many people but not everyone all the time. And souls, like bodies, have a genius for resistance. It is not futile. Ultimately it is the project of domination that is futile. There will be breathing long after their domination has ceased. At least we hope there will be.
